Career Days on Campus

Every semester, LKP-BHI welcomes some of the most prestigious international hotel groups and cruise agencies to our campus. These industry leaders visit LKP-BHI to lecture, recruit, and guide our students through all aspects of employment in the hospitality industry. Due to our excellent industry contacts, students are given the opportunity to connect on a personal level with future employers through these on-campus recruitment drives. Mandarin Oriental, Ritz Carlton Pacific Place, Sheraton Media, Aston, Borobudur, Meranti Magsaysay are just some of the companies who have visited LKP-BHI recently. More than 80 % of BHI alumni are directly recruited by the industry after they graduate and some of the remaining decide to continue their education or to establish their own business.

Industrial Perspective

From my experience working with LKP-BHI alumni (during my employment with FSHJ & RCPP) I can say that their strong point is their positive behavior in the work place. They are polite, soft spoken, and willing to learn. Based on guest comments, staff behavior is most important after their skills and knowledge.

One thing that I would like LKP-BHI alumni to improve is their English comprehension in terms of listening, speaking, and writing. This communication skill will definitely be an additional quality of BHI alumni in the future, especially for those who wish to work overseas.
